Stratego® for the Macintosh is a game of strategy in which you attempt to find and capture the computer’s hidden flag. This initial version is for one player vs. the Macintosh only; future versions may allow two players to compete via modem or direct serial connection.
This program is not Public Domain (in other words, I don’t relinquish any rights to it that I might –or might not– have), but for now it’s completely free, and may be copied and distributed without obligation. Stratego® for the Macintosh was developed on a 2–megabyte Mac Plus (for the most part), and runs within a 256K Switcher or MultiFinder partition. Enhancements planned for the next release include a re-working of the algorithm used to decide the computer’s move, Macintosh II color support, and implementation of the demonstration mode.
